This has been an awesome Christmas Season for us. God has been so gracious to our family. He has taken loads of worry away from us as it pertains to the little J's siblings, he has given us peace and grace throughout this season! We have seen the wonders of his love over and over again.

A little bit of MAGIC!!
We had a great day in Orlando yesterday! We went down for some high schools games at the Amway Arena and we stayed on and watched the Magic that Night! What a great time!
We will go in age order...
The Big J is extremely busy with HS basketball. I think this week, we started last Saturday in Ocala, and then had games, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and yesterday we were in Orlando for the high school games and then the Magic at 7:30. It was a great week of basketball. Although the break is here, we will have basketball this Tuesday, and then tournament play starts next week! There is never a dull moment with a HS kid!! He is managing to keep good grades, despite all his extra curricular activities. For that, we are glad. After this season of sports, I thought we were going to have a small break from school activities, but alas.. it seems the track and field coach has gotten to him, so we may add track to our schedule! It will all depend on our travel ball schedule this year. So we will see. He keeps us very busy!
M has been just as busy! She is still dancing 3 nights a week, with team practices every other Saturday. She will compete in January down in Orlando, and then again in March at Disney. I am looking forward to that trip. She is doing very well in school, and we continue to laugh that still about 1/3 of our class has no clue she is in fact, my daughter! It has gotten to be pretty funny when somebody ask "Is that your mom?" Really, where have you been the last 65 days??? She is very excited about the break. Monday we will take a trip to the library to get some "good" reading for her! She just wants to stay around the house and read. Who can blame her!!
B is also glad for the break. She wants to play and just hang out. We are going to convince her to read some on this long winter break! After all, the weather has not been too great this year! Lots of rain. We are amazed that this school year is going by so fast. B is already talking about who she wants for 3rd grade. She is very spoiled going to school with mom! She is also still dancing 3 times a week and every other Saturday. And because of their ages, of course we are dancing Monday-Thursday! It couldn't be on just the same 3 nights for each of them!! Needless to say we are running quite a bit during the week.
The Little J is doing great. He is just absolutely fascinated by Peppermint, our elf on the shelf. Maybe fascinated is not quite the right word, sometimes scared, sometimes in awe.. He is really excited about the tree and the lights all around. He really does not understand Santa and the whole gift thing yet. He does know that it is Baby Jesus's birthday and he must sing happy birthday at least 50 times a day! Thanks to his Sunday School teacher!! He is running all over the place. A big difference between girls and boys I am here to tell you. And no, we don't think he is hyper, we just think he is a boy's boy! Thank goodness for basketball games, balls, and trains! He is finally starting to play in his "blue" room by himself. For a long time, he would only play if we were there. But now, he is very comfortable in his house, with his toys, and his things. It is hard to believe he has only been here six months. For us, it seems like he has always been with us, and in some ways, he has I guess!

Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. Psalm 90:14
Well, in some respects we are quite happy for the distractions of the holiday season. Friday was a great day for us. Two hours of pure joy. All the kids played, talked, and had a great time. J's older brother almost cried when it was time to leave, and those of us that did stay behind cried a little. It was so overwhelming. We can't even begin to describe how our hearts are stretched and pulled right now. We glimpsed at the family we desire for two hours yesterday, and it was perfect.
We do not know at this time, if yesterday will become a reality. To say that we have not prayed for this, and even at times, begged God to allow this to happen would be an understatement. We have turned to Him so many times for wisdom, strength and faith to guide us through this process. We are confused. We don't understand "the system."
It's the waiting, the not knowing that hurts the most. That brings you to tears at odd times. And yet does He not say to us, "If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer?" We have prayed that the little J's brothers would make it home here. We have prayed that we would be able to parent those little boys in a family environment that was free from the life they have lead to this point. That continues to be our prayer. And yet, we are so thankful that God chose us to be J's parents. We just feel so blessed, and yet we are longing for more. If that makes sense.
So, in short, we don't know what to think. We are confused, at times feel alone, and can't understand the system. But we know, that we will continue to be in prayer for those boys, and for our peace.
We know that many are praying on our behalf and we are thankful for that. We know that the outcome will be revealed, and we just pray that we have favor.
In the meantime, we will continue to do what we do everyday, and believe me that keeps us busy!! The big J's opening game is tonight, and we are very excited to see him play. His birthday is Monday (sweet 16, although not so much for boys LOL) so the week will be starting on a very high note for us!
The girls are excited to see the Christmas Break in the near future. Peppermint has arrived, and kept everyone on their toes. The little J just doesn't quite know what to make of him. Sometimes he likes him, sometimes he scares him... He was very intrigued by the move. He kept checking both places to make sure there was only "1". Anymore than that would probably set him over!
As we were driving in last night, the holiday lights seemed to cheer our blue mood. Our faith leads us to believe that He does make Everything glorious.
"Then maidens will dance and be glad, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow." Jeremiah 31:13
David Crowder - Everything Glorious
The day is brighter here with You
The night is lighter than its hue
Would lead me to believe
Which leads me to believe
(chorus)
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
What does that make me?
My eyes are small but they have seen
the beauty of enormous things
Which leads me to believe
there's light enough to see that
(chorus)
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
From glory to glory
You are glorious You are glorious
From glory to glory
You are glorious. You are glorious
Which leads me to believe
why I can believe that
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
You make everything glorious
And I am Yours
From glory to glory From glory to glory
You are glorious. You are glorious.
You are glorious. You are glorious.
