Proud does not even begin to describe how proud of M & B I am! This year was a very difficult transition year for us in dance. The studio that we were a part of for the last 7 years closed, and we had to find a new studio. It may not sound like a big deal, but really a dance studio is like your second family. M & B were there every night for the last 3 years, and the closure was very hard for them! I searched around town and found a studio that I had been watching for the last several years and off we went! If you remember from posts in July it was a HUGE ordeal for M! It was very hard. But... she stuck with it, and even though she really didn't start wanting to go until after Christmas she danced attended all her classes. Mrs. Kim, Miss Breanna, Mrs. Heather, Mrs. Tracy, Miss Alexa, Mr. Greg and Mrs. Kendra really made both girls feel great! They really found their niche and found their feet so to speak. Anyway.... 11 months later they had terrific recital shows, and I could tell that they were back in the saddle! They both had so much fun and wanted to get out there on that stage! It is hard to remember how attached kids become to teachers, and the old Mrs. Kim was no exception. She gave both girls a great foundation to carry over to a new studio! It made me cry several times watching them on stage! Tap.... M and my favorite!!!!
Wow! It has been a whirlwind of 2 weeks around here! First B's birthday, and then the last week of school and dance recitals all in the same week! Not to mention Derek took off with his U14 team to Ft. Myers! It has been hectic around here! (It is a good thing we have a lot of clothes, because I know for a fact it has been well over a week for any laundry LOL!) -
That is all changing now.... we are slowing the pace! I finish post planning tomorrow and we will chill for awhile. I actually had time to clean and do some laundry tonight! It might actually get done this week! One good summer cleaning, and then back to Fly Lady for daily runs!
Stay tuned.... lots of adventures coming :-)
