The Big J is finally shooting- and making his shots!!!
We started our long Christmas break with basketball, and we ended our long Christmas break with basketball. The Wolfpack won 2 and lost 1 in their Christmas tournament, which placed them in the consolation game, which they won!!! The big J did very well. This is the first time we actually saw him play to his potential. I guess it is just such a different speed, but now we think he has "arrived" !
We were all home the last week of our break, which made it very nice traveling to and from the Big J's basketball tournaments! We were able to see all games most days! We finished on New Year's Eve, and then came back to the house and had a few friends over. Great times ringing in the New Year!
Monday it is back to school and work for everyone. In three short weeks we will have finished the second nine weeks of school. Time is just rolling along! Hard to believe that M will be in 6th grade next year. Where has the time gone? B will be in 3rd, and the Big J will be in 10th! Time waits for no one that is for sure.
We are entering the new year with strong convictions that everything going on in our life will work out for the best. We know that there is a plan that has already been laid, and we are simply here to execute to the best of our ability. We return to court on the 7th, and then the final TPR hearing is in March. March 6th to be exact. We feel that we have done everything that we can possibly do to make these boys a part of our family. We know that God has planned what is best for all the parties involved and we are relying on him to carry us through this. We have in fact, turned it over to God, and we know that in all things God works for the good of those , who love him, who have been called according for his purpose (Romans 8:28).
Happy New Year from our FAMILY to YOURS!!!
As you do not know the path of the wind,
or how the body is framed in a mother's womb,
so you cannot understand the work of God,
the Maker of all things.
Ecclesiastes 11:5
