He even has a little of the coppertone tan going :-)
Even when it was time to go, he managed to get himself "full of sand" again. Not to fear... showers at the top!
Summer is HERE!!!

High School basketball next week over at the College! He is excited because he should now have #3 in both sports, and that seems to be important! LOL! AAU is still in full swing too, but limited during the month of June because most of our kids play high school ball. I cannot believe he will be in 10th grade next year. It seems like this year just flew by for him!Wow.. the winds of change are blowing like crazy around here! We are almost through with another year of school, and this summer may bring more changes to our house. We are excited but cautious about how things may turn out for our family. It is amazing to me how fast time travels on.. when I look back at the year, some things seem so long ago, and yet really they may have only been weeks or a few months. To think that Christmas is just six months away made me really go hmmmmmm. We took J to the beach for the first time Sunday. Of course, I left my camera at home because we were having professional pictures made and he had a blast! I am so glad we took pictures first because he completely soaked himself! He loved it though! The sand and the water! I see lots of early morning beach trips for us this summer! His ISR teacher is not teaching this year, so he will be taking swim lessons from another instructor. She is a teacher at our school, and I am excited that he gets to start next week. He will have plenty of time to practice as much as we are around water!
The M and I are traveling to Washington with my Safety Patrols this year. I am excited to take the kids! I usually don't go, but I think I am going to start!! It is six days, and I love Washington DC! We will be gone with Derek in charge of the other 3- we will see how it goes! The Big J envisions dinner out every night... I am not sure about that, but I know they will have a good time.
We are looking for a good beach vacation. We had talked about the Gulf prior to the oil disaster, and then we thought about the Carolina's- still haven't nailed a beach down yet for the first week of August. We may just go over to St. Augustine and chill! Who knows... by then we may be beat from our already busy schedule! I just remember that before the little kids we always spent a week at the beach!
Frequent posts coming soon! Woo-Hoo!
